Recreational Skipping Program - 2007 Fall Session is now underway

I like skipping!
The Brampton Acro Ropers are offering a recreational skipping program for children aged between 5 and 17.

The fall session will begin on Friday, October 12 and will run for eight weeks (please note - there will be no class on November 9).
Friday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 at Queen Street Public School in Brampton. (See "Locations" link for map).

We are also planning a winter program, beginning in January, that will run for eight weeks as well.


Registration Dates:

Fall session                CLOSED
Winter session             TBD

Registrations will be accepted on a first-come first served basis.

Members of Team Canada put on a jump rope demonstration at Metro Square in Toronto on Thursday, July 13, 2006, ahead of the 2006 World Jump Rope Championships. The competition will be held June 20-24.

Acro Ropers Best Ever Ontario Provincial Competition

Taynewft Single Rope Freestyle
The Brampton Acro Ropers competed at the 18th Annual Ontario Rope Skipping Championships in Parry Sound, Ontario. The competition was hosted by the Georgian Jumpers, our thanks to the Jumpers for running a fantastic competition.

Jenna captured a gold medal in the Masters event, 10-11 division. Brittany G. won a silver medal and Jaclyn won a bronze medal in the Masters, 12-14 division. Also qualifying for the Masters at the 2005 Nationals were Shantelle, Erika, Megan, and Amy.

In the team competition, we B Jam'n won a gold medal in 12-14 division. Taynewft earned a silver medal in the 15-17 division. All the other BAR teams qualified for Nationals, Jumping Jube Jubes, Frozzin Ropez, and Girls on Fire.

Acro Ropers Perform in Hong Kong

The Brampton Acro Ropers performed shows at 3 shopping malls in Hong Kong between July 18 and July 21, 2002. The team thrilled large audiences at the Maritime Square, Paradise Mall and Telford Plaza shopping malls. Local press coverage featured several photographs in newspapers.

At Maritime Square, the team performed with singing sensation Alex Fong.
