Little League Announces Dates, Sites for 2008 World Series Tournaments
World Series 2008
The sites and dates for the eight World Series tournaments in Little League Baseball
and Softball were approved on Friday by the Little League International Board of
Directors, it was announced today by Stephen D. Keener, president and chief
executive officer of Little League Baseball and Softball. For the 62nd Little League
Baseball World Series, held annually in Williamsport, Pa., the first games will be
played on Friday, Aug. 15, and the tournament will end on Sunday, Aug. 24, at
Howard J. Lamade Stadium with the world championship for baseball players 11-12
years old. On Saturday, Aug. 23, the United States and the International
championships will be decided. More

Little League Refines Baseball Pitching Rules for 2008
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Oct. 4, 2007) – Following up on the ground breaking
first season in which a mandatory pitch count was used in all baseball divisions
of Little League, the rules and regulations for 2008 have been refined, it was announced
today at Little League International.

The Little League Coaches Registry
Managers and coaches are among the most important volunteers in the Little League
program. They have to know the game and they have to love working with kids. Leagues
with knowledgeable, caring and concerned coaches have an advantage when it comes
to making the games fun and retaining players. More
