USSSA SAN DIEGO BASEBALL
Welcome to the USSSA San Diego Travel League program, San Diego's Premier Boys Baseball League Program. The purpose of the league is to provide highly competitive travel and all star teams, the opportunity to compete on a weekly basis. We have two seasons: Fall/Winter and Spring. We also have a short summer season for the high school teams. Games are scheduled around team's tournament schedule, thus, allowing teams to compete in tournaments throughout the year.

IMPORTANT COACHES INFORMATION:
1. All teams must be registered with USSSA for 2009. 2. All teams must show proof of team insurance.
3. All teams must submit their home field dates, location, game times and bye dates. If you don't have a field, you will have an away schedule.
4. All teams must be paid in full, before they are added to the schedule. - NO EXCEPTIONS LEAGUE FEES 1. $225.00 league fee. 2. USSSA 2009 team registration $30.00 (teams must register OnLine with USSSA (www.usssa.com). 3. $50.00 forfeit fee, this fee is refundable at the end of the season. 4. All teams must show proof of USSSA team insurance. 5. Send your league application and fees to USSSA, 6473 Plaza Ridge Road, San Diego, Ca 92114 HOW TO ENTER THE LEAGUE 2008 LEAGUE APPLICATION: League fee will be $225.00 per team, plus a $50 forfeit fee(if you are a returning team, your forfeit from the previous season rolls over to the next season or is refunded if you choose not to return). TOTAL LEAGUE FEE (includes $100.00 league fee, $30.00 2009 USSSA team registration & $50.00 forfeit fee).

Cal Boys Coyotes Matadors San Diego Gamers ALL TEAMS MUST PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING. * USSSA 2008 Team Membership. - Please go to www.usssa.com to register your team. * When can you start playing. * Lock up your home field dates, times and bye weekends. * Secure USSSA Team Insurance. - Please go to www.usssainsurance.com (Other baseball association's team insurance is acceptable, as long as your team is listed on the insurance policy. eg. Pony "League" Insurance is not acceptable.) * Forfeit fee of $50.00, must be included with your league fee. Forfiet fee is refunded at the end of the season. * League fee of $100.00 (plus $50.00 forfeit fee) payable to USSSA Baseball, 6473 Plaza Ridge Road, San Diego, Ca 92114. IMPORTANT LEAGUE RULES AND INFORMATION UMPIRES FEES: Umpire game fees will be $56.00 ($28.00 for each team). 14 and 18 divisions will be $65 for 7 innings and $75 for 9 innings. Fees must be paid to the umpire before that start of the game. You will not have to arrange for umpires for your games. All umpire assignments will be handled by the Umpire Assignor assigned to your age division. If you have a particular umpire you would like to used, it must be approved by the League Director. Assignment fees are paid by the League. TEAMS WITH HOST HOME FIELD. Teams with home fields will have first priority to enter our league. If you have a home field, let us know. If there are additional costs in reserving the fields: eg. rental fees, insurance, field prep. The home field team has the option to share the costs with the visiting team. THE LEAGUE WILL ASSIGN FIELD LOCATION FOR EACH DIVISION. IT IS IMPORTANT TO LET US KNOW ABOUT FIELD AVAILABILITY. AGE DIVISION AND CUTOFF DATES: A players age division is determined by what age the player will be after April 30th, 2008. If your team just finished playing 12U tournaments and leagues you move up to 13U division. All players will play at their 2008 league age. For example: Mike is born May 10, because he is 12 after April 30th 2008, he is a league age 12 for the 2008 season. CLASSIFICATION OF TEAMS. Teams will classify themselves accordingly based on the follow criteria. Major Division: Established tournament travel teams who have played in tournaments or are returning travel leagues teams. AAA: Newly formed travel teams or All Star Teams. Our leagues are open to all teams no matter what caliber your team may be. All games will be played on Sunday, however, saturday and friday nite games can be scheduled based on field availability. League games will be scheduled around the USSSA Baseball Tournament Schedule. LEAGUE FORMAT: The leagues will have Major and AAA Divisions in each age group. Teams need to classify themselves accordingly. If there is not enough Major Teams in your age group, we recommend that you play in the next higher age group. Once the league starts your team can not be reclassified. ALL TEAMS ARE GUARANTEED A TEN (10) GAME SEASON. RESCHEDULED GAMES: Teams have a 48 hour window (from game time) to reschedule games. Team wishing to reschedule must inform the other team and the League Director - ASAP. Teams having two forfeits will be banned from the league - NO REFUNDS. All rescheduled games will be set at the end of the season - unless the two teams can agree on a mutual date and location. Schedules will not be revised once the season starts, all changes will be at the League Director's discretion. Rain outs will be rescheduled at the end of the Season or earlier if both teams can agree on a date and location. FORFEIT GAMES: If a team forfeits a game by NO SHOWING AT GAME TIME OR AFTER THE 48 HOUR NOTICE PERIOD, the team loses its Forfeit Deposit and must submit an Additional $50 Forefeit fee before their next game. If this is not done, then the the team is banned from the league -NO REFUNDS. A second forfeit will also result in the banishment from the League. Forfeit fee will be given to the umpire and to the other team involved in the forfeited game. LEAGUE RULES: for league rules click to league rules on the left hand side of this website. |
