2008 Adult Softball Playoff Rules  
  Playoff eligibility is outlined as follows:   
  All teams qualify for the playoffs   *   A single game elimination format will be used  
  Ties in the standings will be resolved in the following fashion:  
  Head to head games played, if still tied….   Fewest runs allowed (head to head), if still tied….     
  Fewest runs allowed (versus the entire league), if still tied….   The tie will be settled with a coin toss    
     
   1.  Only players on your roster may participate in play-off games.  NO PICK UPS.  Any team using an   
                  illegal player will be ejected.  
   2.  Scorekeepers are empowered with the right to declare a player eligible and/or ineligible.  Players   
                 should be prepared to furnish ID if challenged.  
   3.  No infield and/or batting practice between games.  
   4.  Higher seeded team has home team advantage in all games.  In the Finals (2 out of 3), the higher  
                 seeded team will be home in game one, visitor in game two, and home in game three.  
   5.  In all games, except for the Finals, games called because of inclement weather will be official if the  
                  losing team batted four (4) times.  Finals must go the full seven innings unless the 15 run rule  
                  is evoked.  
   6.  All protests MUST BE SETTLED before the next live ball.  The scorekeepers and umpires at each  
                  field will be the protest committee.  
   7.  Any player ejected in a game will be ineligible for the remainder of the playoffs and further suspen-  
                  sions may result.  
   8.  All Brookhaven rules, including the 15 run rule, will be followed.  
   9.  Check with the scorekeeper after each game to verify where and when you play your next game.  
  10. Game time is forfeit time.
