Gordon Worsnop Excels
At the WSA awards night on Saturday night Gordon Worsnop did very well. Not only did he take out the WSA A Grade Leading Goal Scorer award with 24 goals but he was also selected in the WSA Team of the Year and won the prestigious Whyalla News Players Player Award.
Other Lions players featured were Phil Cash who took out the Reserve Grade Leading Goal Scorer Award with 23 goals. Andrew Peacock and Sean Sheedy were also selected along with Gordon for the Team of the Year.
Lions did well in the season winning the Reserve Grade League Cup, A Grade Association Cup and finishing a very close second in bothe the A Grade and Reserve Grade League titles, with the Reserves getting pipped in the last round.

Reserve Grade Goalkeeper of the Year, Glenn Heald (Westlands Utd)
A Grade Goalkeeper of the Year, Dan Rowlands (Wanderers)
Junior Rookie of the Year (Manuel Gonzalez)
WSA Reserve Grade Player of the Year, Aaron Hayward (Croatia)
Monarch Pharmacy Addis Memorial A Grade Player of the Year, David Ratzlaf (Wanderers) & Michael Harvey (Westlands Utd)
The WSA team of the year also featured:
